Director Promotions January 2025

Jenny Brown

Jenny Brown has been promoted from Senior Tax Manager to Director of Private Client Services.

Jenny started her career at HM Revenue and Customs before moving into practice, Jenny worked for several firms and passed her ATT qualification (Association of Taxation Technicians) in January 2010 before joining Hawsons as a Tax Senior in October 2010.

In 2013, Jenny passed her CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) Qualification and was promoted to Personal Tax Manager. In January 2025, Jenny was promoted to Director of Private Client Services.

Ben Lomas

Ben Lomas has been promoted from Audit Manager to Audit Director and will take over as head of the audit department.

Ben graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2013 studying Economics. After he graduated, Ben joined Hawsons in 2014 on our graduate scheme, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2017 and becoming an Audit Senior.

In 2020, Ben was promoted to the role of Audit Manager before being promoted to Audit Director in 2025. During his time at Hawsons, Ben has worked with a wide range of clients, particularly in the legal and charity sector.   

Rhiannon Mistry

Rhiannon Mistry has been promoted from Corporate Services Manager to Business Services Director.

Rhiannon started at the firm in 2011 after a small time working in industry. Rhiannon then completed both her AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) and (Association of Taxation Technicians) ATT qualifications at the firm.

Rhiannon has worked on a wide range of clients and works closely with owner managed businesses and sole traders. Rhiannon has gained experience over this time in accounts, taxation and more specialist projects such as forensic accounting reviews. Rhiannon became Corporate Services Manager in 2020 before being promoted to Director this January.
