A Different World, A Historic Past, An Independent Vision for the Future
This year, Hawsons celebrates 35 years in Doncaster, marking another milestone in our long-standing relationship with the local business community.
Our roots here reach back to 1934, when Harold Moon opened his practice in Westminster Buildings on the High Street. The firm later moved to Albion House on South Parade, where Doug Aldred led the team through decades of growth and local service before formally joining Hawsons in 1990.
Since then, our Doncaster office has continued to evolve, guided by dedicated leaders like Richard Marsh and Martin Wilmott, who helped shape our independent, community-focused approach to supporting owner-managed businesses across South Yorkshire.
A Modern Chapter
In 2004, we moved to Sidings Court, creating a modern, open-plan space that fostered collaboration and reflected the progressive nature of the firm. It marked the start of a new chapter, one of investment, innovation, and continued growth.
Today, the office is led by Paul Wormald and Dan Wood, who became partners in 2014 and 2021, alongside our newest partner Kirstie Wilson, appointed in July 2025. Together, they carry forward the same independent vision and commitment to supporting the local economy.
“We’re proud to have grown with the city, supporting generations of local businesses. This anniversary isn’t just about looking back, it’s about continuing to build our legacy.”
- Paul Wormald, Partner at Hawsons
Looking Back & Moving Forward
When the Doncaster practice merged with Hawsons in 1990, the town was built on heavy industry and manufacturing. Today, Doncaster is home to a thriving, diverse economy and Hawsons has been there every step of the way.
Some of our longest-serving team members, including Paul Wormald, Russ Pagdin, Sean Boyall, and Jackie Rudkin, have seen this transformation firsthand, working across both Albion House and Sidings Court. Their dedication and experience continue to shape our culture and client relationships.
This year’s refurbishment of Sidings Court brings our workspace in line with Hawsons’ refreshed brand, while creating room for new talent, modern technology, and future growth.
“To our clients, our teams, both past and present, and the wider Doncaster business community, thank you for being part of our journey so far. Doncaster has an exciting economy and we look forward to continuing to support it in the years ahead.”
- Pete Wilmer, Senior Partner at Hawsons
