Hawsons Corporate Finance team have advised Derbyshire Care Group Limited on its recent acquisition of three care homes: Spion Kop, Francis House, and Saint Elkas.

These acquisitions support the owner’s continued growth strategy in the care sector, expanding its provision of high-quality, community based residential care services. Alex Bell, Managing Director of Derbyshire Care Group Limited, stated:

“We are delighted with the acquisition of Spion Kop, Francis House, and Saint Elkas. Adding three new care homes to our portfolio will allow us to extend our care provision into new communities and help more people receive the high standard of care we aim to provide and are known for. Hawsons played a key role in helping us get this deal across the line. Their support was practical, responsive, and backed by high level expertise in the care sector.”

The Hawsons team was led by Jack Parker, Corporate Finance Manager, and Scott Sanderson, Healthcare Partner, who provided comprehensive support throughout the transaction, including assisting with securing bank funding, advising on the best structure for the deal, and assisting to deliver the project all the way through to completion, ensuring that each acquisition was a strong strategic fit for the Derbyshire Care Group, and that each transaction progressed smoothly from start to finish.

Jack Parker, Corporate Finance Manager at Hawsons stated,

“We are glad that Alex and the team at Derbyshire Care Group are pleased with the outcome of this deal. The three target acquisitions were carefully considered and clearly aligned with the group’s long-term growth plans. It was a complex transaction, but everyone worked collaboratively to get it over the line. We’ve advised on a wide range of care sector deals and understand the challenges and pressures involved, especially when managing three acquisitions at once. It’s always rewarding to support a team who are passionate about delivering quality care, and that’s exactly what Alex and his team demonstrate, so it was a pleasure to support them on this deal.”
