Hawsons have advised the shareholders of the J M McGill Group of Pharmacies on their sale to Mr Pickford’s Pharmacies, backed by Connection Capital.
The sale was part of a £14.2m transaction which sees Mr Pickford’s acquiring 14 pharmacies to add to their existing seven pharmacies, as part of their buy-and-build strategy.
The Hawsons team were led by Scott Sanderson (Partner – Healthcare Sector), Jack Ware (Corporate Finance Director) and Stephen Charles (Tax Partner).
Scott Sanderson commented, “We are delighted to have assisted long term client, Jonathan McGill, on the sale of his business to Mr Pickford’s. The strategic plans of the acquirer provide an exciting opportunity for the local market. We wish all involved every success.”
The shareholders of J M McGill were also advised by David Easdown and Pearse Connery of Knights plc and Tony Evans from Christie & Co.
