About Matt

Matt co-founded Bruce & Butler in 2015 and has led the firm ever since. As Managing Director, he shapes the company’s strategy and supports clients with data protection, cyber security, and regulatory compliance. He works closely with boards and leadership teams, translating complex regulation into clear, practical steps. While his role is strategic, Matt still enjoys getting stuck into the detail, whether that’s helping with a DSAR backlog or preparing a client for their first audit.

Outside work, Matt’s a football fan (with a soft spot for Sheffield Wednesday) and enjoys golf and padel. He’s President of Sickleholme Golf Club and listens to leadership podcasts, especially The Infinite Monkey Cage. These days, though, most of his TV time is spent watching Peppa Pig with his young family.
