As part of H M Revenue & Customs goal to achieve being digital by 2030, with 90% of customer interactions being online, today they have announced a new online service for workers to take control of their tax affairs.
To stay in line with the current technology advancements such as AI and the HMRC roadmap, the new service will support around 35 million UK workers and pensioners manage their PAYE tax easily through the HMRC app or their Personal Tax Account.
The service will include access to details such as your income, tax code, job information, allowances and expenses. This will save around £50 million a year by cutting down on paper.
